My Background

Eric Kalkowski is the Principle of Vineyard Wealth Strategies Financial and Insurance Solutions; a conservative and long-term focused financial firm. After finding a passion for economics while studying Management and Entrepreneurship at Western Washington University, he was appointed by New York Life Insurance Company as an Agent and also as a Registered Representative by NYLIFE Securities LLC (member FINRA/SIPC), a Licensed Insurance Agency and a New York Life company. With over a decade in the financial services industry, he predominantly focuses on the retirement needs and executive benefits for family-owned or closely-held corporations; wealth strategies and insurance for individuals.

Early in his career, he was Chairman of the Young Advisors Team for the local chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He continues to be a proud, supporting member of NAIFA on the local, state and national level. In 2019, he was involved in meeting with Senators and House Members in Washington DC to advocate in favor of voting for the SECURE ACT, a piece of legislature protecting consumers and their retirement planning needs; it passed with tremendous bipartisan support.

Eric works with or has access to a team of professional strategic partners, including the Advanced Planning Group of New York Life Insurance Company, and many other CPA's, Estate Planning Attorneys.

In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, skiing, wine-tasting, finish carpentry, and volunteering his time to cook for staff at his church. But Eric's favorite activity is spending time cooking for his wife and young son.
